What you need to do is to install this mod and then remember to put any old hat you got before into a dresser, then take it out again, so that this mod will affect it!
Once you install this mod, you can retain your hairstyle as you wear the heart by pressing true. False if you wanna change the hairstyle of your character. If you want to hide the hairstyle, you can also change it to Hide.
